Alginate dressing

Alginate material is a kind of high-tech medical dressing made of seaweed fiber extracted from natural seaweed plants combined with calcium ions by special process.  

After contact with wound fluid, sodium ions in the fluid and calcium ions in alginate exchange and become gel, providing a good wet environment to increase the proliferation of fibroblasts, promote the growth of granulation tissue, and thus promote wound healing. At the same time, the gel can block capillary bleeding, and the released calcium ions are natural coagulation factors, which participate in the hemostatic process and provide certain hemostatic effect.
